The company was founded in 1907 by Enrico Meschini as a maker of wooden agricultural wagons. Enrico’s sons Francesco and Nello Meschini changed production to the making of wooden crates for transporting weapons during World War II and for fruit and vegetables. After the war, the business was focused on the making of wooden barrels for drying tobacco, the area’s main crop.
Following Nello’s untimely death in 1978, his son-in-law Eliseo Grassi took over, marking the company’s definitive transformation as a manufacturer of wooden pallets. With the entry in 1994 of Enrico Meschini, Francesco’s son, the company firmly established its reputation and product quality. In 2007 Alessandro Grassi, Eliseo’s son, joined the company, and in 2017 Edoardo Meschini, Enrico’s son, also came on board.
