PRODUCTION
Meschini & Grassi manufactures pallets mainly from spruce of certified origin. One production line is dedicated to standard 4-way sizes, and a second line is for 2-way minipallets and planks. Special custom size pallets are made directly by hand.
CUSTOMIZATION
Meschini & Grassi offers customized, made-to-measure service. We can make pallets with special dimensions, based on the customer’s design and suitable for specific goods. The customer’s own brand can also be included on each piece.
QUALITY CONTROL
Meschini & Grassi focuses on quality above all in its choice of suppliers. The semi-finished wood, of European origin, is cut and then assembled. Each pallet is individually checked following high precision standards.
KILN & STERILIZATION
Meschini & Grassi is a FITOK-licensed company and has a kiln in which the sterilization process can be completed and certified by HT heat treatment according to the ISPM-15 IPPC/FAO standard. This process ensures that each pallet produced fully complies with global phytosanitary standards and allows it to be used without risk in Italy, within Europe, and outside Europe.
STOCKING AND LOGISTICS
Meschini & Grassi has an outside storage area of 15,000 square meters, ensuring a continuous supply of pallets available to customers even when not scheduled. It also has a 2000 square-meter indoor area for storing pallets that need to be protected from weather. The entire area allows easy loading and unloading to and from vehicles.
CERTIFICATIONS
Meschini & Grassi holds the important FITOK license for HT sterilization according to the PSPM-15-IPPC/FAO standard. PEFC certified pallets can also be issued on request. PEFC (Program for Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes) is a forest certification program based on the observing of criteria and indicators for the protection of European forests.
PRODUCTION
Meschini & Grassi’s daily production now ranges from 3,000 to 5,000 pallets, which are distributed all across central Italy. Its warehouse stocks over 60,000 pallets in various sizes, ready for the handling of any goods.
